Roma climbed to the top of Serie A after a commanding 4-0 win away to Lecce on Monday, closing out matchday two and showcasing their attacking strength for the second consecutive match.

The Rome side had already put four unanswered goals past Fiorentina in the opening round, and did it again this time, led by Dutch forward Donyell Malen, who scored twice, along with goals from Argentina's Matias Soulé and Portugal's Rodrigo Mora.
Malen's brace brought his tally to five goals in two matches, following a hat-trick against Fiorentina, and helped send Roma to the top of the table, ahead of four other clubs on goal difference.
Malen wasted no time punishing a defensive error, firing a powerful shot from inside the box to open the scoring for the Roman side. He added his second goal easily, converting a cross from Brazil's Wesley Franca, taking his tally to 19 goals in 20 Serie A appearances since joining Roma from England's Aston Villa.
The Dutchman has firmly established himself with the club, who finished third in the league last season and will compete in the Champions League. Only Sweden's Gunnar Nordahl (20 goals in 1949) and Italian-Brazilian José Altafini (20 goals between 1958 and 1959) have scored more goals in their first 20 Serie A appearances than Malen.
This marked Roma's fifth straight win over Lecce, who remain stuck on three points after a promising start that included an away win over Venezia 2-0.
