National football team coach Hugo Broos will hold a press conference at 1:00 PM today, Thursday, at the Jordan Football Association's headquarters, to announce the "Nashama" squad for the upcoming gathering, which includes two friendly matches against Syria and Venezuela.

The national team is preparing to face Syria in a friendly at 8:00 PM on Sunday, September 27, at King Abdullah II Stadium, before facing Venezuela at the same time on the evening of Tuesday, October 6, at the same venue.
The upcoming gathering falls within the national team's preparation program for the 2027 AFC Asian Cup finals, with the preparation plan including a number of friendly matches during upcoming international breaks in the capital, Amman, allowing Jordanian fans to follow the Nashama's preparations and support the team throughout its preparatory journey.
The 2027 Asian Cup finals draw had placed the national team, runner-up of the previous edition, in Group Two alongside Uzbekistan, Bahrain, and North Korea.
The 2027 Asian Cup finals will be held in Saudi Arabia from January 7 to February 5.
The Nashama begin their tournament campaign against Uzbekistan on the evening of Friday, January 8, at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, before facing Bahrain on the evening of Wednesday, January 13, at the same venue.
The national team concludes its group-stage campaign against North Korea on the evening of Sunday, January 17, at Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University Stadium in Riyadh.
