With this result, City secured their third consecutive win, raising their tally to 9 points and moving temporarily to the top of the table, boosting morale ahead of an away match against Portugal's Porto next Tuesday in the Champions League.
After that, Manchester City will travel to face their neighbors Manchester United in the Manchester derby next Sunday at Old Trafford.
