Berlin — Borussia Dortmund advanced to the second round of the German Cup with a crushing 5-0 win over fifth-division side HFC Hamburg.
The lower-league team held firm for 33 minutes before Dortmund opened the scoring through an own goal, mistakenly put into his own net by Hamburg's Freddy. Three minutes later, Daniel Svensson added the second goal, before Samuel Inacio added the third and fourth goals in the 41st and 45+2nd minutes.

Fabio Silva capped off the goal-fest in the second half in the 59th minute.
The win boosted Borussia Dortmund's morale ahead of their away trip to Hoffenheim the day after tomorrow, Saturday, in the second matchday of the Bundesliga.
Dortmund Brings In Nwaneri
Arsenal forward Ethan Nwaneri has joined Dortmund on a season-long loan on the final day of the transfer window, the German league runners-up announced.
The 19-year-old, who spent the second half of last season on loan at French club Marseille, joins to cover for the absence of injured new signing Yannis Konstantelias. According to German media, the deal does not include a purchase option.
Dortmund's sporting director Lars Ricken described Nwaneri as "the best possible solution from a sporting perspective" following Konstantelias's injury, praising the English teenager in a statement.
Konstantelias had joined Dortmund last month and impressed on his Bundesliga debut last Saturday, but suffered a serious knee injury minutes after scoring a goal.
Ricken said: "With Ethan's loan, we've managed to bring in a very talented midfielder with excellent technical skills. We're pleased to have completed this deal right before the transfer window closed."
Nwaneri scored 10 goals and provided two assists in 51 appearances for the Gunners, and also scored twice in 11 matches with Marseille last season.
