Just days after joining Saudi club Neom on a free transfer from Lens, Malang Sarr was reportedly involved in a serious incident in Marbella, Spain, where a group of men allegedly confronted him at a hotel after being sent by one of his former agents.

The 27-year-old Neom defender was reportedly caught in what French newspaper L’Équipe described as an “ambush” during the summer, while his team was staying at a five-star hotel in Marbella for a training camp held from July 10 to 31.
According to information reported by Le Parisien, citing L’Équipe, the incident occurred just days after Sarr signed with Neom. A group of French men reportedly went to the restaurant area reserved for the Saudi team’s delegation looking for him.
The men allegedly threatened some witnesses before forcibly taking Sarr away and slapping him on the staircase leading to the bar. The group then reportedly became involved in a heated and loud argument, shocking people at the scene.
Sarr, however, told L’Équipe that he had not been assaulted. Several hotel guests reportedly said they witness.
