The club’s efforts come as its administration awaits financial support to settle outstanding payments and maintain stability within the first-team squad, which is preparing to resume its domestic campaign.
Meanwhile, first-team players are awaiting payments from their outstanding dues after asking the club administration in recent days to pay one month’s salary before the Professional League resumes. The move would ease some of the financial burden on the players and provide greater stability and focus in the coming period.
Club president Khaled Arabiyat, along with several board members, met with the players several days ago to discuss the team’s financial situation and needs. The club administration promised to pay 70% of one month’s salary, pending the availability of the funds in the coming period.
Al-Salt fans are closely following the club’s financial situation, particularly with the season still in its early stages. After just three rounds of the Professional League, some financial issues have begun to emerge, raising concerns among supporters that the situation could affect the team’s atmosphere and stability in the coming period.
However, the financial pressure on the club has been eased to some extent by the fact that most players received portions of their contract advances at the start of the current season. This gave the club some time to organize its remaining financial commitments, although the need for further payments remains.
On the sporting side, Al-Salt continues its preparations for the resumption of the Professional League under head coach Raed Assaf, who is working to improve the players’ technical and physical readiness and use the current break to address weaknesses and prepare the team for the next stage.
The coaching staff continues to use friendly matches to assess the players’ readiness and test different tactical options. Al-Salt will face Al-Wehdat today in a friendly as both teams prepare for the return of official competitions.
