The ceremony was attended by the University President, Prof. Wijdan Abu Elhaija, CEO of Orange Jordan, Eng. Philippe Mansour, CEO of the Jordanian Innovation Fund, Eng. Mohammad Al-Muhtaseb, members of Orange Jordan’s executive committee, and prominent public and private sector figures, along with media representatives.

The two cohorts included 14 startups and entrepreneurial ideas in vital sectors such as agriculture, health, tourism, e-commerce, and education. The incubator aims to support them in integrating AI technologies into their solutions, given AI’s impact on enhancing market growth opportunities and attracting investments, as a major driver of global economic and technological development.

In her speech, HRH Princess Sumaya emphasized that AI is a historic transformation in people’s lives rather than a passing trend, noting that its contribution to the global economy is expected to exceed $15 trillion by 2030. She highlighted that Jordan’s youth—who make up more than 63% of the population—are the country’s true wealth, capable of positioning Jordan regionally in the responsible and ethical application of AI.

She added that the incubator’s success reflects the strength of collaboration between academia, industry, and investment, which enables Jordan to unleash the creativity of its youth and transform ideas into startups with tangible economic and social impact. Congratulating the graduates, she stressed that they are not only entrepreneurs but pioneers of Jordan’s future, as their projects demonstrated that real innovation is measured by its ability to serve society and create positive change, not just generate profit.

Eng. Philippe Mansour, CEO of Orange Jordan, congratulated the graduates, expressing pride in their abilities and innovative projects. He affirmed the company’s commitment to empowering entrepreneurs from the outset by providing support, guidance, and technology to transform ideas into impactful projects, particularly in AI, opening wider horizons for growth, expansion, and investment. He praised the strong partnership with the Innovation Fund and Princess Sumaya University, and extended heartfelt thanks to HRH Princess Sumaya for her patronage and continued support for innovation and scientific research in Jordan.

For his part, Eng. Mohammad Al-Muhtaseb, CEO of the Jordanian Innovation Fund, said that AI is reshaping the global economy and that Jordan has the talent and skills to play an active role in this transformation. He noted that initiatives such as the AI incubator, implemented in partnership with the Fund, Orange Jordan, and Princess Sumaya University, empower entrepreneurs to turn ambitious ideas into innovative solutions that foster growth and attract investment. He stressed that channeling youth energy into AI-driven innovation allows Jordan to overcome geographic and resource limitations and strengthen its position as a regional hub for knowledge-based value creation.

It is worth noting that the Orange AI Incubator features a year-long training program focused on three key phases: developing technical skills, product development using AI in an interactive stage, and hands-on training with peers to scale their businesses and connect with investors, thus enabling them to secure funding opportunities and develop innovative solutions contributing to economic and social development.
