It is noteworthy that the Tripartite Committee on Labor Affairs unanimously decided—by agreement of the government, employers, and workers—to raise the minimum wage for private sector workers from JD 260 to JD 290, effective January 1 of this year until December 31, 2027.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Labor’s “Himaya” platform recorded 291 labor complaints from the beginning of the year until the end of August, regarding noncompliance by some private sector establishments with the payment of the minimum wage. — (Petra)
