The corporation clarified that the eligibility conditions for a permanent total or partial natural disability pension include:
Termination of the insured person's employment
Submission of a pension request within six months from the end of employment
A minimum of 60 actual contributions, including at least 24 consecutive contributions
The disability status must be confirmed by a decision from the corporation’s medical committees.
It further noted that an insured individual may apply to be examined while still employed to determine whether their condition qualifies as a permanent total natural disability. This can be done up to two times during their coverage period under the law, provided they have made more than 60 contributions, including 24 consecutive ones.
The corporation added that the medical authority within the institution is the body responsible for recommending cases to the relevant authority for ending the service of public employees covered by the law, after being referred by the Higher Government Medical Committee, in order to determine their entitlement to permanent total or partial disability pensions.
