In a press statement, the Russian government said that the decision aims to maintain stability in the domestic fuel market. It followed a proposal submitted by Russia’s Ministry of Energy calling for the early lifting of the ban on gasoline exports by fuel producers ahead of the scheduled date. The ban on diesel and other fuel exports by non-producers has also been extended until the end of next July.
