NATO Secretary-General Rutte Works Behind the Scenes on Greenland Issue

NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte stated on Wednesday that he will not publicly comment on the tensions between the United States and its European allies regarding President Donald Trump’s interest in Greenland.اضافة اعلان

Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Rutte said:
"Rest assured, I am working on this issue behind the scenes, but I cannot do so publicly."

He added, "President Trump and the other leaders are right… we need to do more there… we must protect the Arctic from Russian and Chinese influence."

Rutte emphasized that NATO’s efforts aim to ensure a collective defense of the Arctic region.
