European Commission Chief: Ukraine’s Borders Cannot Be Changed by Force

On Wednesday, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen stated that the Commission is ready to provide a legal framework regarding the use of frozen Russian assets to support Ukraine’s war effort.اضافة اعلان

Addressing the European Parliament, von der Leyen welcomed efforts led by U.S. President Donald Trump to end the conflict, stressing that any peace agreement must ensure real security and a just, lasting peace for Ukraine and Europe.

She emphasized, "Ukraine’s borders cannot be changed by force or by aggression against a European state, and Ukraine’s future is linked to the European Union."

Von der Leyen added, "If we legitimize undermining borders today, we open the door to more wars tomorrow, and we cannot allow that to happen."
