The Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation announced that three people died and 36 others were injured in two attacks targeting Abha International Airport and King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on Tuesday and Wednesday.
In a statement issued Wednesday evening, the authority said the attack on Abha International Airport resulted in the deaths of two female residents of Moroccan and Algerian nationalities and injured 28 people, including Saudi citizens and two residents of Bangladeshi and Filipino nationalities. The injuries ranged from minor to serious.
The authority added that the attack on King Khalid International Airport resulted in the death of a Sudanese resident and injuries to eight people, including five Saudi citizens, two Egyptian residents and a Pakistani resident. Their injuries ranged from minor to serious.
