Netanyahu faces a long-standing trial on corruption charges, which he denies, asserting his innocence.

The Israeli Prime Minister stated that investigations into his case began 10 years ago, and his trials started 6 years ago and may continue for many more years.

He added that his personal interest has been to continue legal proceedings to achieve acquittal, but security and political considerations necessitate a different approach.

Netanyahu also noted that the ongoing trial has caused internal divisions, expressing his belief that resolving the case would help reduce these divisions and promote broader reconciliation.
