Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said Wednesday that Tehran is monitoring Israel on a daily basis and that Israeli forces are prepared to respond to any attack, warning that Iran could launch an attack during the Jewish holidays.

Speaking at a conference, Katz said: “As U.S. pressure on Iran increases, tensions worsen and the economic strangulation imposed on it intensifies, the likelihood of it launching an attack increases. We are fully prepared to defend ourselves. They tend to attack during Jewish holidays out of their hatred of Jews, and we should remember the many events that have occurred in the past.”
The Israeli defense minister added: “But we are prepared to defend and attack in coordination with the United States on this matter. However, there are things, such as an attack on Israel, that we will not accept. If they launch an attack because of Lebanon, the West Bank, Gaza, or simply because they want to, our aircraft are ready to take off.”
