The Israeli occupation army carried out on Thursday a campaign arresting 24 Palestinians in various locations across the occupied West Bank, including Murad Ishtawi, director of the Wall and Settlement Resistance Authority.اضافة اعلان

An Anadolu Agency correspondent in the West Bank reported that eyewitnesses confirmed the arrests took place in several areas.

According to witnesses, 9 Palestinians were arrested from the towns of ‘Alar and Saida north of Tulkarm, 2 from Nablus, 3 from Kafr Qaddum east of Qalqilya, and 5 from Jenin in the north.

In the southern West Bank, the Israeli army arrested 2 Palestinians from Bethlehem, along with a young man and a minor from Hebron.

Amir Dawood, Documentation Director at the Wall and Settlement Resistance Authority under the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), confirmed that Murad Ishtawi was detained in the northern West Bank. He was subjected to field interrogation before being released later.

In parallel with ongoing operations in Gaza, Israeli forces and settlers in the West Bank have reportedly killed at least 1,052 Palestinians, injured around 10,300, and arrested over 20,000, including 1,600 children.

Since October 8, 2023, Israel, with U.S. support, has carried out what is described as a two-year campaign of mass extermination in Gaza, resulting in the deaths of 67,938 Palestinians and injuries to 170,169, the majority being children and women, along with famine-related deaths of 463 Palestinians, including 157 children.
