In a statement issued on Monday, the group said it carried out a military operation targeting "sensitive targets" belonging to Israel in the occupied Jaffa area, using a missile barrage that it claimed hit its targets accurately.
The Houthi group emphasized that the response to escalation will be "with escalation," and that its military operations will continue at an accelerating pace.
This comes hours after the Israeli military announced it had conducted airstrikes targeting military sites in western and central Iran, while Iranian television reported hearing explosions in Tehran, Tabriz, and Isfahan.
Earlier, the Israeli military announced it had detected 11 missiles launched from Iran toward Israel, confirming that air defense systems intercepted all of them.
Iran stated that the missile attack was in response to the Israeli raid that targeted the southern suburb of Beirut, stressing that it was a "warning message."
