The Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported that the framework agreement signed between Lebanon and Israel stipulates that Israel will withdraw from areas it occupied in Lebanon, in accordance with the development of the Lebanese Army’s capabilities to confront and contain the activities of Hezbollah.

According to the report, the agreement envisions the establishment of pilot zones, where the transfer of security responsibilities from the Israeli military to the Lebanese Army will be tested in practice.
The newspaper added that, in parallel with these security arrangements, efforts will be undertaken to rebuild civilian infrastructure and establish a joint security coordination mechanism involving Israel, Lebanon, and the United States.
