Ghalibaf: Regional Infrastructure Will Be Destroyed if Iran’s Assets are Attacked

TEHRAN – Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf issued a threat on Sunday to destroy vital infrastructure in the region "beyond repair" if the United States and Israel attack Iranian assets, following a U.S. ultimatum.اضافة اعلان

Writing on X (formerly Twitter), Ghalibaf stated: "Once energy production plants and infrastructure in Iran are targeted, vital infrastructure, as well as energy and oil infrastructure across the region, will be considered legitimate targets and will be destroyed beyond repair."

He further warned that oil prices would surge for a "very long period" as a consequence.

The threat follows an ultimatum issued by U.S. President Donald Trump on Saturday night, giving Iran 48 hours to reopen the Strait of Hormuz to maritime traffic or face the destruction of its energy infrastructure.
