Ex-Israeli soldier recalled detaining Palestinians out of ‘boredom'

TEL AVIV—Video footage circulating on social media shows an ex-Israeli occupation soldier recalling the practice of detaining Palestinians ‘out of boredom’ while serving in Hebron. اضافة اعلان



The former soldier described the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) imposing arbitrary demands on Palestinians to alleviate their own boredom. “You feel like tiring them [Palestinians] out so you tell them to do this and that. You go this way, you come here, you sit here, you stand.”

She added, “A Palestinian gets stuck at my post and I detain him for two hours. Even if I do him a favor and let him go, he got stuck at the next post, where they also detained him for two hours. That is what his day is like. This is the daily routine of Palestinians in Hebron because the soldiers at the post are bored.”
