not stop violating international law in the Gaza Strip.

Michel stated via "France 2" on
Thursday: "We all advise Israel to consider the provisions of
international law while defending itself... Israel does not care about
isolation from the
international community at a certain stage. Therefore, it is
important for Israel to handle these rules with caution."
He pointed out that the complete blockade of
the entire strip is not in line with international law and that the protection
of civilians must be ensured. He emphasized that the resolution of the
Palestinian-Israeli conflict through the establishment of two states is an
"absolute priority" for the European Union. He stressed that the
EU should organize an international conference on this issue.
He added: "I believe that it is necessary
to use the coming weeks to organize an international conference. The European
Union can and must take the initiative to push for a
two-state solution and
prepare a tangible plan and solutions that may become the basis for a
settlement."
