Beirut – The Lebanese Seismic Monitoring Network reported early Sunday that an earthquake measuring 3.9 on the Richter scale struck the eastern Mediterranean off the Lebanese coast around midnight.

The network stated that the quake occurred at an estimated depth of 35 kilometers, making it noticeable in Beirut and several other areas across Lebanon.
Officials noted that the shallow depth of the tremor contributed to residents feeling it more strongly compared to deeper earthquakes of similar magnitude, with no reports of material damage or injuries.
