Palestinian medical sources in the Gaza Strip announced on Wednesday that the death toll from the Israeli occupation’s assault on the territory has risen to 72,585 martyrs, with 172,370 injured, since the beginning of the offensive on October 7, 2023.

The sources explained that hospitals in the Gaza Strip received 17 martyrs during the past 24 hours (including 13 martyrs during the last 24 hours), along with 32 injuries.
They added that the total number of martyrs since the ceasefire on October 11 of last year has risen to 809, while the total number of injuries reached 2,267. In addition, 761 bodies were recovered from under the rubble.
The sources also indicated that a number of victims remain trapped under the rubble and on the roads, as ambulance and rescue teams are still unable to reach them at this time.
