Ben-Gvir: Residents of Jewish Neighborhoods in Jerusalem Eligible for Firearm Licenses

Israel's far-right National Security Minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir, announced on Monday that residents of all Jewish neighborhoods in Jerusalem will now be eligible to obtain a firearm license.اضافة اعلان

According to the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, approximately 300,000 people living in 41 different neighborhoods in Jerusalem will fall within the eligibility criteria for a gun permit.

Ben-Gvir launched a policy to arm Israelis, including settlers in the occupied West Bank, in late 2023 following the outbreak of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.

Settlers carry out near-daily attacks, using firearms, against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank in an attempt to forcibly displace them and seize their lands and property. — (Wafa)
