Hostilities in the Middle East have intensified since late last week and into the beginning of this week, with Iran launching missiles toward Jordan and several Gulf states, while the United States continues to conduct strikes against targets inside Iran.

Earlier on Sunday, the U.S. military announced that it had completed a second consecutive day of operations targeting dozens of sites in Iran, stating that it remains prepared to ensure freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.

In a statement posted on X, the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said it had targeted Iranian military air defense systems, coastal radar installations, missile capabilities, drones, and small fast-attack boats. The operation involved fighter aircraft, U.S. naval vessels, one-way attack drones, and one-way unmanned surface vessels, the latter being used for the first time, according to the statement.
