The Civil Defense in Gaza reported that around 200,000 civilians have returned to the devastated northern part of the Strip since the ceasefire came into effect on Friday.

Mahmoud Basal, spokesperson for the Hamas-run Civil Defense, said that “approximately 200,000 residents have returned to the north today.”
The ceasefire agreement in Gaza took effect at 12:00 p.m. local time (09:00 GMT) on Friday.
An Israeli army spokesperson warned that it is “extremely dangerous” to approach the Rafah crossing area and the Philadelphi Corridor.
The Israeli Cabinet approved the ceasefire agreement in Gaza and the release of the remaining hostages, according to Netanyahu’s office.
