Computer models indicate an increasing impact of the atmospheric instability over the Kingdom during the hours of tonight, dawn, and Thursday morning. The system is expected to reach its peak during this period, bringing rainy weather to many regions and governorates, including the northern, central, and eastern areas, as well as parts of the south.
Rainfall is expected to be heavy at times, especially after midnight, increasing the likelihood of water accumulation on roads and rising water levels, in addition to the risks of flash floods in valleys and low-lying areas.
Weather Outlook for Thursday
During the morning hours of Thursday, rainy weather is expected to prevail across many areas. As the day progresses, the rainfall will become more scattered (random) in nature and may be accompanied by thunder in some parts. This rainy spell, arriving with the start of April, is expected to significantly bolster water reserves and groundwater levels.
