The latest beta version of WhatsApp for iOS reveals that the app is working on bringing back animated effects for message bubbles.

This comes a week after the same feature was rolled out in the WhatsApp beta for Android, which added a "Messages" option that can be toggled on or off via Settings > Chats > Animation Effects, alongside other options for emojis, stickers, and GIFs, according to the specialized WhatsApp update website WABetaInfo.

WhatsApp had removed the message bubble animation feature from the iOS version of the app in a previous update, and since then, messages have appeared without any visual effects. Now, the application is bringing the feature back with a different style and a dedicated setting to control it.

With this upcoming feature, the message bubble will not pop up abruptly as it did previously; instead, it will fade in gradually with a slight scaling up before settling into the conversation, giving the user experience a smoother appearance.

As is the case with most features rolled out through WhatsApp beta, the animated message bubbles are currently available only to a limited number of testers.

While the official release date has not yet been announced, the initiation of testing on both iOS and Android platforms indicates that the official launch of the feature may not be far off.
