The Move to iOS app is the key step in the transfer process, and it must be installed on the Android device beforehand.
When setting up a new iPhone—or after resetting it—and selecting “Transfer Your Apps & Data,” you can choose to transfer data from an Android device. A code then appears on the iPhone’s screen, which must be entered into the app to connect the two devices through a temporary Wi-Fi network created automatically.
Once connected, the app allows you to select the data you wish to migrate, including photos, documents, messages, and app data.
Accurately Transferring WhatsApp Chats
At this point, you can choose to transfer WhatsApp only without including other apps.
After selecting the app, you will be prompted to open WhatsApp on the Android device to confirm the export. Move to iOS then completes the process as the new iPhone setup continues.
It is worth noting that the transfer works for one account only, and the method applies to personal WhatsApp accounts. WhatsApp Business may require additional steps.
