Google is entering the creative design market with a new image creation and editing tool called "Google Pix," which will become part of the Google Workspace suite for business customers and subscribers to Google's paid AI plans.اضافة اعلان

The company said the tool, built on Google's "Nano Banana" image generation model, will roll out over the coming weeks to most Google Workspace customers, as well as subscribers to the Google AI Pro and Google AI Ultra plans.

Similar to popular design tools like Adobe Express and Canva, Google's new tool is designed to handle everyday design tasks users might need at work, and sometimes in their personal lives.

For example, "Google Pix" can be used to create social media posters and posts, along with other types of images and illustrations.

However, the tool differs from Canva, which allows artists, illustrators, and photographers to publish templates, graphics, images, and artwork on a dedicated marketplace and earn revenue when they're used. "Google Pix," by contrast, relies primarily on generating content using AI that has been trained on artists' work.

It also differs from Adobe Express, a tool typically used by content creators to build designs themselves, since "Google Pix" is based on entering a text description or prompt to generate the design, rather than building it from scratch.

The tool also includes a range of editing features, including isolating and transforming elements within images, editing or translating text embedded in images, among other tools.

It also supports collaborative editing and allows users to generate several different versions of a desired image, so they can choose the one they prefer.
The tool will be integrated within Google Workspace, first appearing in Google Docs and Google Slides starting today.

The company said it will add the tool to Google Drive at a later stage.
