His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of Sharjah Media Council, toured on Wednesday afternoon the participating pavilions and accompanying activities of the 14th edition of the International Government Communication Forum (IGCF), organized by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau under the theme “Communication for Quality of Life” at Expo Centre Sharjah.

During his tour of the two-day forum, His Highness was briefed on the 22 diverse workshops and a range of side activities showcasing leading experiences and models in effective government communication to address future challenges. These initiatives align with the forum’s theme and focus on key areas such as food security, public health, education, environmental sustainability, and the green economy, all serving various segments of society.
The Chairman of Sharjah Media Council also stopped at several participating pavilions representing media, governmental, and private entities, where he listened to presentations about their efforts and the innovative methods they use through seminars, lectures, and workshops to advance government communication globally.
The 14th edition of the forum brings together more than 237 international speakers across 51 sessions, within a comprehensive program of over 110 diverse activities. It features 30 partners from local, regional, and international organizations across 22 interactive platforms, including seven keynote addresses and 22 workshops. Participants include leading government institutions, international organizations, universities, and companies specializing in technology and media, underscoring the strategic role of communication in driving impact, shaping policy, and fostering collective action towards a more sustainable future.
Accompanying His Highness during the tour were Tariq Saeed Allay, Director-General of Sharjah Government Media Bureau; Hassan Yaqoub Al Mansouri, Secretary-General of Sharjah Media Council; Alia Bu Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Director of Sharjah Government Media Bureau; along with several officials and representatives of local, Arab, and international media outlets.
