Amman Golf Club Successfully Concludes the “First Diplomatic Golf Cup” in Jordan

Amman Golf Club successfully concluded the First Diplomatic Golf Cup, a tournament held on Saturday, May 31, 2025. The event witnessed broad participation from over 20 embassies, with several ambassadors and a distinguished group of diplomats from various foreign missions residing in Jordan taking part. Their presence gave the tournament an international flair and fostered a strong spirit of sportsmanship. In addition, a number of high-level foreign ambassadors attended the event, further enhancing its diplomatic significance and highlighting the vital role of sports in strengthening international relations and cultural exchange.اضافة اعلان
The competition featured outstanding performances from the participants and concluded with an official award ceremony honoring the top three winners, attended by prominent diplomatic and social figures.
Winners of the Tournament:
•1st Place: Jenny Anderson from the Australian Embassy
•2nd Place: Stevie Green from the Irish Embassy
•3rd Place: Thibaut Moyer from the European Union Delegation
This special event was hosted and organised by the newly opened Amman Golf Club, the first grass golf course in the Amman, marking a significant milestone for the sport in Jordan. Designed by renowned Dutch golf architect Michiel van der Vaart, the course blends international standards with the natural beauty of the Jordanian landscape, offering a world-class golfing experience in the heart of Amman.
On this occasion, Ms. Majd Al-Najada, General Manager of Amman Golf Club, expressed her pride and appreciation for the great success of the tournament. She stated:
“We are honored and delighted to have organized this distinguished sporting event, which brought together an elite group of diplomats residing in Jordan on our green courses. The ‘First Diplomatic Golf Cup’ was a wonderful opportunity to strengthen the bonds among representatives of diplomatic missions and to showcase Jordan as an ideal destination for sporting and tourism events.”
Ms. Al-Najada added:
