Majority Foreigners… Over a Quarter Million Visits to Tourist Sites in January

The total number of visits to tourist sites in Jordan during January reached 263,124, the majority to Petra with 54,065 visits, according to data from the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.اضافة اعلان

The data reviewed by Al Mamlaka showed that foreign visitors accounted for 70% of total visits, Jordanians 25%, and other Arab visitors 5%.

The ministry noted that the total visits include repeat visits to other tourist sites by both international and local visitors.

Jordan’s tourism sector performed positively in 2025, with the number of visitors rising to 7.04 million, and tourism revenues growing by 7.6% during the year, reaching JD 5,523 million.
