Specialized technical staff have put the final touches on the courses before the tournament gets underway.

The tournament is expected to draw 81 players, including 35 international golfers, and is divided into several categories, including men, women, and youth under the age of 18.

Participating in the tournament are official delegations from Lebanon, Qatar, Palestine, Tunisia, Iraq, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Morocco, Egypt, Kuwait, and other countries.

"We are launching our first major activity for the current year through Jordan’s Open Golf Championship, which will be followed by a wide agenda of local events that contribute to the development of golf at the local level and spreading it to a different array of groups,” said Hani Al-Abdallat, president of the Jordan Golf Federation.

Ayla’s managing director, Sahl Dudin, said that Ayla is set to announce a series of sports, entertainment, and tourism activities and events for the coming period aimed at reviving sports and tourism in Aqaba over the next year.

Ayla offers an 18-hole golf course designed by international designer Greg Norman, and a specialized academy that provides training and education.
Ayla has previously hosted major sporting events such as the Jordan Mixed Open Golf Tournament, as well as the Arab Golf Tournament and the MENA Tours Journey to Jordan.
