Tourism revenues reached $552m during January — CBJ

AMMAN — With a total value of $551.8 million, Jordan's tourism income increased by 122.2 percent during January 2023 compared to January 2022, according to data recently issued by the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ).اضافة اعلان

This growth was due to an increase in the number of tourist arrivals to the Kingdom by some 292,400 visitors compared to 2022 figures, to reach a total of 504,000 tourist arrivals, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Meanwhile, Jordanians' spending on tourism abroad rose during January 2023 by 109.1 percent compared to the same month of 2022, to reach $148.4 million. This reflects a 96.4 percent increase in the number of Jordanians traveling abroad, the data indicated.
