Held under the patronage of Central Bank of Jordan Governor Dr. Adel Al-Sharkas, the forum was attended on his behalf by Ziad Ghanma, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Jordan.

The event brought together senior figures from the banking and financial sectors, experts in green finance and sustainability, and local and international decision-makers.

The sponsorship reflects Housing Bank’s continued commitment to supporting initiatives that foster dialogue and partnerships, helping create an enabling environment for a stronger, more resilient, and sustainable economy.

It also underscores the bank’s focus on strengthening the role of finance in translating sustainability priorities into viable projects and investment opportunities.

Housing Bank’s sponsorship of the forum builds on its efforts to strengthen the banking sector’s contribution to sustainable economic development by directing financial resources toward priority projects and sectors.

These include developing financing and risk assessment tools tailored to the needs of sustainable projects, as well as strengthening partnerships with financial and development institutions to broaden the range of available financing solutions.

As part of this approach, Housing Bank continues to expand and diversify its sustainable finance offering, including its green financing portfolio and the recently issued Blue Bonds.

The bank is also developing partnerships with leading local and international institutions to expand access to financing for sustainable projects. In parallel, it continues to advance its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices in line with the Central Bank of Jordan’s directives and global best practices.

Held annually, the Green Finance Forum serves as a platform for exchanging expertise and perspectives on the latest developments, challenges, and opportunities in green finance and sustainability.

The 2026 edition focused on strengthening the role of finance in building economic resilience and accelerating the transition toward a sustainable economy.

Discussions also explored ways to foster greater alignment between the public and private sectors, channel investment toward green opportunities, improve the readiness of green projects to access financing, and develop financing solutions and partnerships that encourage greater private sector participation in the transition.
