Through its participation, Housing
Bank supported an initiative that channels sports and volunteerism into
meaningful community impact.
The proceeds from the hike will support the
reconstruction and expansion of Al-Qatrana Health Center, located along the
Desert Highway, transforming it into a comprehensive health center equipped
with an ambulance and emergency unit and a trauma center.
The project will
strengthen the availability and preparedness of healthcare services in the area
and help enable faster responses to emergencies and traffic accidents along one
of the Kingdom’s major highways.
The bank’s participation also
supported the broader objectives of the initiative, which seeks to promote
Jordan’s tourism, heritage, and archaeological sites both locally and
internationally.
Petra, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World and a destination
that brings together visitors and cultures from around the globe, provided a
fitting setting for an event that brought participants together around a shared
purpose centered on health, giving, and volunteerism.
Housing Bank’s participation in the hike
builds on its ongoing support for Himmetna Health and reflects its approach to
social responsibility, which focuses on building lasting partnerships with
initiatives and community organizations working in vital sectors, particularly
healthcare and tourism.
The bank also encourages its employees to take part in
initiatives, giving them opportunities to contribute directly to the
communities they serve and broaden their impact.
Housing
Bank has previously supported Himmetna Health’s efforts to improve healthcare
facilities by upgrading treatment centers in line with international standards
and strengthening collaboration between the private sector and civil society
organizations in support of the public healthcare system.
The bank has
contributed to several projects, including the reconstruction and equipping of
Ghor Al-Mazra’a Comprehensive Health Center, the rehabilitation and development
of Princess Basma Health Center in the capital’s Ras Al-Ain, and the complete
outfitting of an intermediate care unit for patients receiving treatment at the
Oncology Center at Al-Basheer Hospital.
