The latest data issued by the Ministry of Finance showed an increase in total tax revenues during the first half of 2026, recording approximately 3.457 billion dinars, reflecting a growth rate of 1.6% compared to the same period last year.

The general budget saw varying performance across different tax sectors. Taxes on "Goods and Services" continued to hold the largest share of revenues, achieving a 2.8% increase to reach approximately 2.173 billion dinars.
Conversely, proceeds from taxes on "Income and Profits" declined by 1.5%, recording around 1.1 billion dinars, despite a noticeable surge in taxes collected from "Individuals," which rose by 10.3% to reach 236 million dinars.
Regarding international trade and transactions, revenues recorded a growth of 7.7% to reach 133 million dinars, while "Other Revenues" experienced relative stability with a slight dip of 0.1%, coming in at 1.264 billion dinars.
