The selling price of 21-karat gold, the most in demand among citizens in the local market, reached 95.80 dinars per gram on Saturday at jewelry shops, while the buying price stood at 91.10 dinars.

The selling price per gram of 24, 18, and 14-karat gold for purchase from jewelry shops reached 109.60, 84.70, and 66.30 dinars respectively.
According to the head of the General Syndicate of Owners of Jewelry and Goldsmith Shops, Rabhi Allan, the price of the Rashadi gold lira weighing 7 grams reached 666 dinars, while the English gold lira weighing 8 grams reached 760 dinars.
He said that gold supply in the local market during the past week was weak, while demand was slightly higher, mainly focused on gold liras and ounces for saving and investment purposes.
He added that the yellow metal closed its weekly trading in global markets at $4,674 per ounce, noting that global political developments remain the main driver of gold prices worldwide.
