Non-Jordanian investors purchased 1,515 properties in Jordan during the first eight months of 2026, down 1% from the same period in 2025, while the estimated value of these transactions rose by 19% to JD147.112 million, according to a report by the Department of Lands and Survey.اضافة اعلان

The estimated value of apartments acquired by non-Jordanians reached JD82.348 million, accounting for 56% of the total transaction value, while land purchases amounted to JD64.765 million, or 44%.

Compared with the first eight months of 2025, the total number of property ownership transactions by non-Jordanians fell from 1,526 to 1,515, a 1% decline. Apartment transactions, however, increased from 887 to 953, up 7%, while land transactions dropped from 639 to 562, down 12%.

Meanwhile, the total estimated value of these transactions increased from JD123.400 million during the first eight months of last year to JD147.112 million during the same period this year, representing a 19% increase.

Iraqi nationals ranked first in terms of the number of properties acquired by non-Jordanians during the first eight months of the year, with 373 properties, followed by Saudis with 195, Syrians with 181, Palestinians with 141 and Americans with 121.

Iraqi nationals also ranked first in terms of value, with an estimated JD63.078 million in property purchases, accounting for 43% of the total estimated value of non-Jordanian ownership transactions, according to the report reviewed by Al Mamlaka.

Palestinian nationals ranked second by value at JD10.709 million, accounting for 7%, followed by Syrians at JD10.088 million, or 6.8%; Americans at JD9.675 million, or 6.6%; and British nationals at JD9.294 million, or 6.3%.

Transactions Rise 31% in August

In August, non-Jordanian investors purchased 257 properties, an increase of 31% compared with the same month in 2025 and 18% compared with the previous month.

Non-Jordanians acquired 167 apartments in August, up 44% year-on-year and 22% from the previous month. Land purchases totaled 90 plots, an annual increase of 13%.

The estimated value of non-Jordanian property ownership transactions rose 46% in August compared with the same month of 2025, reaching JD23.709 million. The value was down by less than 1% from the previous month.

Apartment transactions accounted for JD14.705 million, or 62% of the total, while land transactions amounted to JD9.003 million, representing 38%.

Iraqi nationals led August transactions by number, with 60 properties, followed by Syrians with 37, Saudis with 35, Americans with 28 and Palestinians with 20.

In terms of value, Iraqi nationals also ranked first, with investments totaling JD9.800 million, accounting for 41% of the estimated value of non-Jordanian property ownership transactions during the month.

Syrian nationals ranked second at JD2.198 million, or 9.2%, followed by Americans at JD2.052 million, or 8.6%, and Palestinians at JD1.566 million, or 7%.
