European markets closed higher on Friday, recording weekly gains, driven by U.S. inflation data coming in below expectations and a series of corporate earnings reports.

The pan-European STOXX 600 index rose by 1.7% at the end of Friday’s session, recovering previous losses, with generally positive performance across major markets and sectors, according to CNBC.
The UK’s FTSE 100 continued its gains, closing at a record high on Thursday and ending the week up 0.70%, while France’s CAC 40 index finished the session unchanged at the red line, 0.00%, closing the week at 8,225.63 points.
Germany’s DAX index rose by 0.15%, closing at 24,243.97 points.
