The US dollar is heading for its second consecutive weekly loss on Friday, amid rising tensions over potential tariffs on countries trading with Cuba, adding to global market uncertainties.

According to CNN, the US Dollar Index, which measures the currency’s performance against a basket of major currencies, rose 0.4% to 96.4820 points, narrowing its weekly loss to 1.1%.
The euro fell 0.2% to $1.194, the Japanese yen declined 0.17% to 153.39 per dollar, and the British pound dropped 0.1% to $1.3791.
