During a press briefing on Tuesday, Hegseth explained that he visited U.S. forces in the Middle East on Saturday to monitor the progress of the military operation against Iran.
He pointed out that the United States "has more options," while Iran "has fewer options."
Hegseth also noted that the past 24 hours witnessed the "lowest number of hostile missiles" launched by Iran, reflecting a decline in the pace of attacks.
