Trump: We Will Send a Hospital Ship to Greenland
President Donald Trump stated on Saturday that he would send a hospital ship to Greenland, the autonomous Danish territory that the U.S. President had previously threatened to seize.اضافة اعلان

Trump's remarks regarding a takeover of Greenland had escalated tensions between the United States and Denmark, while drawing global attention to the Arctic. He has insisted that mineral-rich Greenland is a vital region for U.S. and NATO security in the face of Russia and China.

The President claimed the ship would treat many "patients" in Greenland, without providing specific details on whom he was referring to or how many people the vessel would assist.

"We are sending a great Hospital Ship to Greenland to take care of the many patients not being cared for there," Trump posted on his Truth Social platform, adding, "It is on its way!!!"

His post included a clear AI-generated image showing the USNS Mercy, a 272-meter vessel typically based in Southern California, sailing toward snow-capped mountains on the horizon. It remains unclear whether this is the actual ship being deployed to Greenland.

After previously threatening to take the territory by force, Donald Trump pivoted from those threats following the signing of a framework agreement with NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte. The agreement aims to bolster U.S. influence and pave the way for talks between Denmark, Greenland, and the United States.
