U.S. President Donald Trump stated on his platform Truth Social that Hamas is “ready for lasting peace,” based on its latest statement.
Trump confirmed that discussions are currently underway regarding the details of a potential agreement, stressing the need for Israel to immediately halt its bombing of the Gaza Strip in order to allow the safe and swift release of detainees.

On Friday, Trump said: “Based on the just-released statement from Hamas, I believe they are ready for lasting peace.”
He added via Truth Social: “Israel must stop bombing Gaza immediately so we can get the hostages out safely and quickly! Right now, it is too dangerous to do so.”
He continued: “We are already in discussions about the details that need to be worked out. This is not only about Gaza, but about the long-awaited peace in the Middle East.”
Trump further emphasized that the issue is not limited to Gaza alone, but to broader, long-sought peace across the Middle East.
