Pezeshkian posted a copy of the memorandum on social media platforms bearing his signature and Trump's, alongside the signature of Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, whose country led the mediation between the two sides. The Iranian President accompanied the document with a caption stating: "This is a historic document and a message from a strong Iran: Peace will be achieved through mutual respect."

Trump signed the memorandum of understanding, which encompasses the Lebanese front, during a visit to France.

Under the memorandum, Tehran and Washington pledged to conduct negotiations and reach a final agreement within a maximum period of 60 days, renewable upon the agreement of both parties.

According to the text of the understanding, Tehran renewed its commitment not to seek to possess or develop nuclear weapons, provided that both parties discuss Iran's nuclear file within the framework of negotiations for the final agreement.
