In a speech to the International Forum for Government
Communication held in Sharjah, Dudin said that Jordan has received many
proposals from Arab countries regarding how to deal with giant search engines
in the digital field.
Jordan will submit a proposal to the Arab League at the end
of next October, the minister said, stressing Jordan’s seriousness in moving
forward with this matter.
Dudin indicated that Jordan has learned from the Australian
experience related to the classification of keywords on social media networks
and websites, which were approved by all Arab Ministers of Information, and to
address the 400 million Arabs who share the content available on those networks
in terms of
stopping offensive content.
