The Ministry of Water and Irrigation/Water Authority said Thursday that its teams, during a security campaign in southern Amman, detected violations involving water lines in Naour and Um Al-Amad.

The violations included two one-inch water lines. One was being used to supply and sell water to tankers in Naour, while the second was supplying homes in Um Al-Amad and was connected to a large water pool and nursery.
The ministry also seized an unauthorized excavator operating in Al-Safawi, in the Al-Baqi'awiyah/Tall Hassan area of the Mafraq Basin, while digging an illegal well.
The measures were carried out as part of ongoing inspection campaigns by the Water Authority and its teams across the Kingdom, in cooperation with the relevant authorities, as part of efforts to tighten control over water resources.
The ministry said its teams disconnected the unauthorized lines and corrected the situation. They also seized the excavator and placed it with the Water Authority's Central Workshops Directorate, while preparing the necessary violation reports ahead of completing the investigation procedures and applying the law against those responsible.
