The Ministry of Water has seized an unlicensed drilling rig in the Um Al-Qutain area of Mafraq Governorate, where the equipment was taken into custody.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry, the action was based on information received by the Internal Oversight Directorate, the Directorate of Water Basins and Drilling, and the Central Workshops Directorate. Specialized technical teams, in coordination with the Public Security Directorate and the Al-Manara Badia Police Station, confiscated the rig and placed it under the custody of the Central Workshops Directorate. Investigations are ongoing, and the case will be referred to the judiciary.
The Water Authority expressed its appreciation for the significant efforts of the Public Security Directorate—particularly the personnel of Al-Manara Badia Police Station and all security officers—for their continuous support. It also reaffirmed its commitment to continuing its campaign to monitor and eliminate all violations.
