AMMAN — The General Union of Owners of Taxi Offices threatened escalatory measures, saying the government has so far failed to respond to its demand for hiked fees, the syndicate’s deputy chief Muhammad Al-Hadid said, according to Jo24.اضافة اعلان

Hadid said the syndicate has been in touch with the Ministry of Transport and the Land Transport Regulatory Commission, but did not hear back from them.

Hadid said the union had called for stopping unlicensed ridesharing applications, which reached 32 apps, but the Ministry of Transport changed its intention and licensed many among them.

Hadid said that the union wrote to Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh, and the Head of the Public Security Directorate regarding the escalatory measures, which will begin with a complete work cessation and stage an act of protest outside the Royal Court.
